Seller sold me i7 demo version, Is it legally allowed. seller name Base 39, Ambala Cantt, Haryana, india

I went to buy iphone yesterday. He showed me i7 demo piece and told it is worth buying but does not have earphones. We bought that. We could not see that the phone is without earphone adaptor.

He cheat us. Please help me out in knowing that is Apple allowed or is it legal to sell such demo phones commercially.

Please share the guidelines too.

Because i want to take action against him.
