Photos keeps crashing while editing text in book

Creating a book in photos. All good while importing and positioning photos.

However, while adding text it repeatedly and consistently crashes about one minute from the time I begin to add text.

I've repaired the library @ previous posts.

Text is not saved through crash, so finishing the book is becoming impossible.

Same thing happening to me and driving me nuts! I have tried with different projects to see if just a book or some photos were corrupted and it did the same thing. Fine with photos and editing, just when typing text in text box. Sierra 10.12.6 and have used Photos for many years and this seems new. If I use the arrow to go back and check all pages, it will save back to there, otherwise lose everything back to last open

I have this exact same problem. The only workaround I find is to "save" frequently by clicking off the text box, e.g., to an adjacent image. With luck you will lose only the current sentence you are typing. Even so, I sometimes have to type the same thing 3 times before getting it to stick. apple, please fix this extremely frustrating usability issue in what is otherwise a great service/product.
