Apple Watch Leather Loop

My official Apple Leather Loop is starting to tear up on the edge. I bought the leather loop in december 2015 so I'd expected that it would last a while longer. I use and wear my Apple Watch every day a make normal use of it. No swimming or other extreme things.

Been in contact with Apple Customer Service and they basically say it's my own fault and they can't or won't do anything. End of discussion.

Anybody any tips or suggestions as to what I could do in terms of getting Apple to provide the warranty on the leather loop?

You have since edited your question to add "in terms of getting Apple to provide the warranty on the leather loop?".

The Limited Warranty period on Apple Watch can vary by country, but is typically one year. In the US, for example, the terms are detailed here:

Apple One (1) Year Limited Warranty

If the warranty period in your country is one year and you purchased your Apple Watch in December 2015, then the warranty no longer applies.

Given that Apple has also already advised you of its decision, I suggest that you proceed with purchasing a replacement band, as suggested in my previous reply.

Apple's Limited Warranty is not necessarily two years as a result of you being in the EU.

In the UK, for example (currently still part of the EU), Apple's Limited Warranty is one year.

More information:

Legal - Hardware Warranties - Apple

Apple's warranty does not cover normal wear and tear and, whether your band is still covered under warranty or not, I'm afraid that no-one here can intervene in your support case or change Apple's decision.

In the EU, where I'm from, the warranty is 2 years. Therefore the Leather Loop is still under warranty.

Right now, I have had contact with Apple and they decline my claim without any possible discussion.

In my opinion it's a product defect as I've used the leather loop like it's supposed to be used.

My question regards to getting Apple to acknowledge the warranty and not simply declining it.
