Hi Abdul,

Row 1 is a Header row.

The last row (5) is a Footer row.

B2 contains the formula shown below the table: A*0.025

This formula can also be written: A*2.5%

The formula in B2 is filled down to cells B3 and B4.

B5 contains the formula: SUM(B)

Because Row 5 has been defined as a Footer row, this row is NOT included in calculations specifying the whole column as a range.

As rows are added to the table, the formula in B2:B5 will automatically be filled into the non-footer rows added, and the SUM formula in the footer row will adjust to incude the new rows in its calculations.

Note that I have removed the Merged cell in your sample. Merged cells are not handled well in Numbers, and should be avoided where possible.

Barry
