PowerBook G3 "Lombard" AHT?
Was there a version of AHT for this machine?
Anyone know the version/pn for it?

Voice of experience: AHT did exist at the time your computer was made--it has been around a long time. I have AHT for my ancient Macs (some going back to 1990) that are certainly contemporary with the Lombard. However, for Macs made before about 2011, AHT was only available from the original optical disks that came with the computer. You could not run it from a recovery partition nor a web service like we can today. Also, it is NOT on any full retail install disks, just the model-specific system install/restore disk that were in the box with the computer.
If you don't have the disks, you are probably out of luck. Apple once had AHT for some models posted for download but the versions were mixed up and incompatible with most Macs. The same problem exists with such files posted on the internet, plus many of those have malware inserted. On top of that you have to burn them to disk and that almost never works properly for diagnostics.
It is possible that we can help if you post your specific symptoms because some things AHT won't pick up can trip up G3 PowerBook. For example, dead PRAM batteries can cause a dizzying array of odd PowerBook problems Apple never wrote down.
Mmmm ... there should be no AHT for this machine :-/
I just checked with MacTracker ... no AHT is reported for this computer :-/
My apologies. I see what you mean.
