iPhone 7 screen is black, but the phone is still on.. can't connect to iTunes to sync and restart!?

So I was using my phone today and all of a sudden the screen went black... the phone is still on. I cannot hard reset it because every time I do, it either works and doesn't do anything, or just won't do it. I saw that you could reset it through itunes. I was trying to do that.. but it won't let me allow itunes to access my phone because I can't push the "Allow" on my phone because my phone screen won't work! HELP!! I have fixed my phone so many times and bought new phones and this time I can't afford to get it replaced or fixed right now.

Hello julielouisenix,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. It's my understanding that your iPhone is powered on but has a blank black screen. You've done a great job trying to get this resolved so far. I'm happy to help.

Please follow the remaining steps below:
  1. Plug in your device to a power source. If you see the low-battery screen when you plug in, let your device charge for at least 10 minutes (20 minutes for iPad) before using it.
  2. Force restart your device while it's plugged in.
  3. If this doesn't work, restore your device.
  4. If you still see the issue after you restore, contact Apple Support.

Have a great day!
