My touch ID not working after IOS 10.3.3 in iPhone 6

My touch ID in iPhone 6 is not working after IOS 10.3.3. update. No screen replacement has been done and no physical damage happened as well. Tried cleaning touch ID with soft clothand restarted iPhone as well. Main problemhere is, its draining the battery quickly.

iPhone 6, iOS 10.3.3

I have the exact same problem!

All articles give no explanation as to why Touch ID suddenly stopped working on previous iPhone versions and previous IOS versions, yet all Apple customer services keep pointing to the article on how to setup your Touch ID, but if it isn’t activated - how can we? I am one of many who have fallen victim to buying an Apple product with Touch ID capabilities to later have it revoked without consent or notification. I paid for an iPhone with Touch ID, surely that is what I should get. I am now prompt every time I start my phone with an error message stating “Unable to activate Touch ID on this iPhone” with no means to remove or disable this message. Not only is the Apple Brand losing its touch, the Apple Genius customer services are losing their knowledge too.... such a shame.

I downloaded iOS 10.3.3 to my iPhone 5s (3years and 9 months old) last Thursday. Since then the Touch ID function cannot be activated and the battery runs down quickly - even on low power mode. I took this issue to my local Apple Store today and the assistant informed me that the Touch ID switch has a hardware problem which will cost £129 ($150) to repair. She did not think this issue was related to the software update - even though it had all worked perfectly until then. Unhappy with this response I elevated the issue to the Team Leader - he also contested that the physical failure of the Touch ID button and the software update must be coincidental. To date, his store has received no official communication from Apple that any problem exists.

Come on Apple we deserve a better explanation than this. Extremely poor. What does Apple propose?

Same issue here Apple. I upgraded iOS last month to 10.3.3 on my iPhone 5S (less than 2 years old). The touch ID immediately stopped working upon restart from the upgrade. My battery started draining heavily even with Background App Refresh off and Location Services off. I just did a full reset to factory/erase. I still get the Touch ID error and battery drain. This is disappointing. How dare you try to charge me for a hardware fix when your OS software is most certainly to blame? FOR SHAME!
