Logitech b100 USB Mouse

Hi,

I recently bought a Logitech B100 USB mouse for use with my Mac after noticing my old Dell mouse seems to be losing connection. The Dell mouse worked right away, without installing any drivers, so naturally I thought that my Logitech mouse would do the same

Apparently not. I plugged the mouse in and the left and right clicks work fine, however the middle click button will not work at all. I replaced the mouse with the Dell mouse and for some unknown reason, the middle click no longer works on that either.

I've tried everything I can think of to get my Logitech mouse working. I can't find a specific Mac driver for this mouse, but I have downloaded the Logitech Control Centre. Unfortunately, this control centre can't recognise my mouse, so I tried the programme 'USB Overdrive'. This doesn't work either, despite the fact 'USB Superdrive' recognises my mouse and its middle click. However, when I try to use the middle click (in games, or scrolling internet webpages) it still won't pick it up.

I'm out of ideas. Now, I can't even get my Dell mouse to work either.

Can anyone help?
