Icloud error in email id

while setting up icloud on my phone, I made a mistake with the icloud spelling in the email (that's @icioud.com instead of @icloud.com). now i can't edit nor or delete it. it keeps on trying to verify the account and asking for password. i have logged into my account online but cant see the phone on www.icloud.com, which means its not connected to the server. What do i do to remove it so i can correct it. Thanks in anticipation of a favourable reply. Please help....
