ipad air sim card slot

Hi I cant find anywhere on my ipad air a sim card slot when i purchased this 3 years ago I was told by the sales person I would have to use a nano sim card if I chose use internet or mobile phone services.

I have decided to use this service however unable to find any where on my ipad air the simcard slot

please help me.
