Boot camp assitant help
MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013), macOS Sierra (10.12.6)
A 8+ GB USB2 flash drive is sufficient. You also need to remove the 'Macintosh Data' after you back it up. Your 'Window' partition is Apple_HFS, which is invalid. It must be FAT32 before the installation and will be NTFS, if Windows is successfully installed.
Can you confirm the year/model of your Mac? Try to execute the following two procedures and check again.
Reset the System Management Controller (SMC) on your Mac - Apple Support
You need to use a USB2 flash drive, not a 1TB external HDD to create the USB Installer.
On the internal disk, you have disk0s[1-5], which is not supported by Bootcamp. The standard layout is disk0s[1-4] with EFI, OS X, Recovery HD and BC/Windows.
I'm trying to used 1TB external HDD to create USB Installer .
because i don't have an USB 16GB , is 8GB enough ?
what can i do to make the disk0s5 (Window) can install the window ? (it empty now)
thanks
Hi ,
Thanks for your reply
i used MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013)
macos sierra
10.12.6 (16G29)
Did you run the two resets and test? Do you have any external storage connected to the Mac?
You have three user-visible partitions - Macintosh HD, Macintosh Data and Windows. This layout is not supported by BC Assistant. From macOS Terminal, can you post the output of
diskutil list
ok ,i will try it ,
thank you very much
