Weird FAN behaviour - Mac Mini late 2014

Hi,

I've got problem with my mac mini late 2014.

Whole mini is hot. Also I can hear noise similar to HDD from fan of computer. Its not HDD because I've got SSD installed.

Also i have looked at fan behaviour and its weird. I never rotate for more than few seconds. It continously start / stop.

Does anyone can help me?

Do I need to replace fan?

First reset the SMC, as per > Reset the System Management Controller (SMC) on your Mac - Apple Support

Then if it is still acting up or starts to act up after some use, go to Apple > Force Quit or Applications Utilities > Activity Monitor and check to see if you have a failed process (in red) that is causing an excessive CPU load.

If there is no excessive CPU load and it is still acting up, see > How to use Apple Diagnostics on your Mac - Apple Support

FWIW there are third party sensor and fan monitoring utilities, that you can use to troubleshoot hot spots and control the fan speed if you need additional cooling. I use https://www.crystalidea.com/macs-fan-control on my Mac Mini's and iMac's.

For example: the following screenshot is of the current sensor read outs for my 2012 Mac Mini.
