i am using iPhone 6 after upgrading the ios10.3.3 the mic has stop working when i try to use whatsapp video calls the other person cannot hear me at all while i can see them as well as hear them very clearly
also the mic does not work while i try to use siri.
but works fine for all the other apps, it seems like a very common problem iPhone users are facing

Go into Settings, then WhatsApp and make sure you have allowed the app permission to use the mic.
i have IOS 11 BETA 6 DEVELOPERS IN IPHONE 7 PLUS 128GB AND I HACE SAME PROBLEM MIC NOT WORKING ON WHATS APP AND FACEBOOK MESSENGER I CONTAC FACEBOOK FOR THIS PROBLEM AND THE PROBLEM IS IOS APPLE FIX THIS PROBLEM AND MY FRIEND HAVE ANOTHER IPHONE 7 PLUS 128GB WITH IOS 11 BETA 6 DEVELOPER AND WORKING FINE IN WHATS APP AND FACEBOOK I VERY SURE THIS PROBLEM IS APPLE IOS.

I took my iPhone 6 to service center which had same problem and came to know that the mic near the rear camera is not working. So my phone is now under repair. They said it would take more than 7 days to get it done. Will post once I get it back or anything else I hear from Apple.
The MIC that WhatsApp, facebook live and these apps use stays just side by side with the back camera. Make sure that you don't have anything blocking them, such as plastic cover or anything like that. Between the flash and the camera, on iPhone 7, is the mic. I had a plastic back protector that there wasn't any hole in the mic, only flash and the camera. I just made a little hole in the plastic protector and now it works.
Permission to use the mic is on i am able to make voice calls the only time the issue arises is when I place a video call
I'm using iPhone 6S with iOS 11. I'm facing the same problem. Try using Google Duo and Skype. The same problem is appearing in all video calling platforms.
It juesd keeps saying wrong pin please wait a hour till I can try again

I am pretty sure it's a ios software issue since many iPhone users are affected by this problem
Apple needs to resolve this problem at their earliest

In settings scroll down to the what's up app setting and in that setting theres a microphone and then choose one of those settings

I got the phone replaced and whatsapp and google duo is working fine. So, I would recommend you to get your phones checked by apple service centers.
