Not sure what the second part of your message means.

If an app you installed unexpectedly quits, stops responding, or won’t openMaybe?

Thanks truthslayer for your help. Second question was a typo, meant to say apps won't open either. I did find when I clear my history in Safari settings and/or turn JavaScript either off or on, safari works again.
