iphone thinks that headphones are plugged in so speaker does not work

The speaker on my iPhone 6s thinks a headphone is plugged in so it does not work. Tried plugging and unplugging an actual headphone several times hoping this would resolve the issue but it did not. Can make calls using speakerphone but no other way

Toggle the sound button on the side for a temporary workaround and that should reset the volume issue.

When you have a chance get a phone swap with your Applecare. I have been tolerating this issue for too long as well.
