I cannot downgrade my iCloud storage plan. I want to downgrade to 50G plan form 200G but the 'save' option is greyed and I cannot select it. I only have 30G of files on it so 50G should be available.

No. He stated he has 30GB of current storage. So if he downgrades to 50GB it still enough to allow the 30GB existing plus another 20GB of storage.


The only way you can lose data downgrading is if you have more storage then the amount your downgrading too. It not an immediate lost either. It takes a certain number of inactive days before your iCloud deletes any data. Also stated in the article already posted you would not be able to use iCloud anymore if the above was true.
