I can get into Yahoo, but when I enter my Yahoo ID, it returns a notice: Safari won't open this page (close), why is Safari not allowing me to sign-in? I have sierra 10.12.6

Thanks for the response --- still, nothing works. I can not even copy the msg that comes up. It is only when I try to log-in to my Yahoo account. I have restarted, a hard restart. Cleaned cookies/cache, and had remote service performed. Still unable to access my Yahoo account. Yahoo does come up. Just so there is no confusion I do appreciate the help.

Tried, almost, all the pages you sent my way. Most were for mobiles. Nothing works. Safari can’t open website. Like it dropped off the face of the earth. I can get it thru chrome - on the same computer. Go figure
