After loading a weather app an email account was installed called Red Alert emergency that loads adds as emails. It has no way to delete it. How can I delete it?

Go to Settings/General/Profiles. Delete all of the profiles that appear.
Apps NEVER install themselves. Never. If there is an app on your phone, someone installed it.
Hi mcd22. Are you certain? Open the Settings app, tap General, and scroll to the end. Look for Profile or Device Management in the last few items.
Yes! I just updated apps and got the same thing. Deleted it after some exploration and reset some settings. It was piggy backed on an update this time. General/settings/profile- delete profile. Thank you!

Have you checked to see if there is a profile? If there is, you approved installing it, whether you remember doing so or not.
It's not an app. You went to a web page that offered to send you emergency alerts, and you tapped a link authorizing the site to install a profile.
You are correct, profiles can affect the security of data on your phone. That is why Apple requires that you accept them before they are installed. And why you should refuse them if you are prompted to install them. About the only profile you should have is a Device Management profile from your employer if you have a company email account on your phone. And only then if it is important to you to have access to company email on your personal phone.
never mind - i figured it out - it had unchecked my regular inbox!
It should be near the bottom, right above "Regulatory" and below "VPN". It might also be called "management" or something similar.

Either you did not restart the phone after removing the profile, or you installed an app that is posting the alert.
Thank you! I was so frustrated since I kept getting 'junk e-mail' as RedAlert Emergency alerts. How that happened I don't know, but getting junk e-mail as emergency alerts was disconcerting. If I paid for that, I am not even going to bother. I just deleted the app as the regular weather forecast, offers to buy things, etc. do not constitute RedAlerts. I hope Apple does something about that in their App Store.
