Apple Intelligence is now available on iPhone, iPad, and Mac!
Hi, I bought some space in iCloud in order to save it from my hard drive. However, everything I moved to iCloud is still stored offline (more than 150Gb). I moved it one month ago and all this data is still stored both online and offline in my computer.
How can I get rid of this offline copy?

iCloud simply put is two things syncing and snapshot backups. To learn more about what you are using see iCloud Drive FAQ - Apple Support.

iCloud Drive lets you securely access all of your documents from your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, and Windows PC. So no matter which device you’re using, you always have the most up to date documents when you need them.
Which is saying you can upload documents which can be accessed in real time on multiple device (but have to exist on at least one device). It not for long term storage.

If you are running Mac OS Sierra, you can create some space on your hard drive by going to System Preferences/iCloud/iCloud Drive/Options, then selecting Document and Desktop syncing with Optimization on.
