Reboot older MacBook Pro - HELP!

I have an older MacBook Pro - Intel Core Duo - and now it won't start up, just goes to a "?" mark.

I need to reboot it with original disk, but don't have them.

What do I need specifically? Where do I get them and how do I do it?

Is there any place on the Apple site to download and create a disk?

Thank you in Advance.

MacBook Pro with Retina display, macOS Sierra (10.12.1)

Ok, a circle with a slash symbol instead of the Apple logo, means that your Mac couldn't find a valid System Folder to start up from.

At this point, the next step would be to try to start up your Mac in Safe mode. If that fails to resolve the issue, you will need to re-install macOS using Recovery mode.

The original install disks were specific to the exact model of your Mac ... which you still haven’t provided.

Regardless, if it is a pre-2010 model, you may not be able to use either the Recovery or Internet Recovery methods to re-install OS X. There are no image downloads from Apple. At this point, I would suggest that you contact Apple Support directly to see if they can help you out. You can also try eBay, Craig’s List, or other Apple User Groups as well.
