6S Plus - No (input)sound on WhatsApp

Hi everyone! Hope you're all doing fine and appreciate the help in advance.

Recently bought an used iPhone 6S Plus 16Gb. Everything went smoothly and the phone works perfectly - or so I thought. Yesterday, while trying to send a voice message through WhatsApp, found out that there was something missing in the message.. Something like, my voice! Just a bit of noise on it, nothing more. Home + sleep button,tried again, nothing.

Downloaded a voice recorder app just to be sure. Exactly the same, nothing but a slight continuos noise. Phone calls, videos, Siri.. Everyone hears me just fine. WhatsApp voice message, WhatsApp calls - and I suppose any other app like it -, I can only hear my voice if I scream (louder) and, even so, it's like I'm faaar away from the mic.

So, regarding all that, any suggestions?! Thank you once again!

Thanks for visiting the Apple Support Communities. From your post, I understand that you are unable to hear your voice when recording messages in WhatsApp. I'd be happy to help.

To troubleshoot issues with audio, specifically the microphone, try the steps here: Get help with the microphones on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch , specifically the "Get help" section at the bottom.

Dear Joe,

First of all, thank you for the fast reply.

But unfortunately.. been there, done that! Got nowhere. The only thing I haven't done (didn't had the time yet), is to restore the iPhone. I'll try that as soon as I got a chance. Just hope that it is a software problem, otherwise.. Not good news.
