Question

iPod Touch screen size

Since it looks like the iPad Mini is being discontinued (does anyone know?), is there any chance the next gen iPod Touch screen size will be made comparable to the iPhone?

The 6th gen iPod touch has the same screen size as the iPhone 6. But does not have hte large size of the extra large iPhones. No idea if Apple will ever make another iPod generation.

Personally if anything gets discontinued I'd expect it to be the iPod.....but apple has made no announcements that I've heard of so what happens, happens.

Thanks, Skydiver119. The current iPod Touch has a 4" diagonal screen and the iPhone 6s and iPhone 7 have a 4.7" diagonal screen...pretty close. I'd really like to see an iPod Touch with a 5.5" diagonal screen like the iPhone 6 Plus and 7 Plus, OR an iPad mini that's smaller than the iPad mini 4. I'm beginning to think Apple is phasing both products out but I hope that's not the case.

Speculation is against the rules but, like any company, I can see Apple constantly assessing which products sell good and which don't and be constantly willing to change their line to maintain their sales.

If I had to put an item on the endangered species list I don't think it'd be the mini. (hopefully that is not just wishful thinking because I have a mini 4 and enjoy the portability of a smaller iPad)

iPod Touch is staying, but has pared down to two storage sizes, 32 and 128 GBs.

No one knows the fate of the iPad Mini, but nothing in any iDevice lineup, other than the iPad Mini, has a 7.9 inch touch screen.

Also, the current iPad Mini 4 supports ALL iOS 10 features and will, probably, support all upcoming iOS 11 features.
