How to get my older iPod touch to connect to my Wifi?

I have an older iPod touch and it won't recognize my Wifi. I've updated the iPod and I'm not seeing my internet network. Is it just too old?

iPod touch, iOS 6.1.6

Hi there Ami

This sounds like it might be an issue with your router. If your router is set to a high capacity some lower end mobile devices are unable to connect due to lower performing wireless antennas. If you go into the Administrator setting for your wireless router and reduce it form I'm assuming 5gHz then it should be fine.

Hope this helps and all the best

Brad
