Message: no air printer found when trying to print from my iPhone or ipad

I have the same problem with my iPhone 6s running the latest iOS 11.2.2. My printer is a HP Officejet Pro 8600. It worked just fine until one of the latest updates late last year. I have to do the same thing though: turn off my printer and then turn it back on. Then I can print to my iPhone. My Windows PC does not have this problem though.

I have iPad 4 bought it in 2012 and had no problem printing on wifi from anywhere in my home,then all of a sudden can't find air printer. My printer is a canon 6200 and if I turn the printer off then back on it will print from any part of my home,but after a bit of time it will not print and will say cant find air printer driving me crazy.Never had to use a separate app before and it will print if I walk up 3 floors and turn printer which is on,turn it off then back on.If you got answer for this one please forward.
