Kurdistan Flag Emoji

There are many emojis of the smallest countries and even random ones such as a white flag whatsoever. Dear Apple, it would be very nice of you to include the Kurdistan flag emoji in the new iOS update. Yes it can come across at first as very controversial but it shows respect to the people who live in these regions. Although I am not Kurdish personally, I would like to represent their voice and apply to this site to reach out and possibly allow my friends to have their flag and nation/ region respected.

Apple doesn't decide which new emojis are included. That is decided by the Unicode Consortium. You will need to submit a proposal along with a drawing of what it would look like.

I think right now the Unicode consortium does not accept proposals for regional flags. They only recognize national flags. There is a proposal though to allow regional flags that may already have been approved or may soon be?

I think work has been done regarding the necessary codes for such a flag, but it is up to the people who make emoji fonts to put the flag icon into their fonts.

According to your link it has not been yet been approved by Unicode so those codes may not be used by them for such a flag, if they indeed start doing regional flags. Apple will probably not adopt emoji not approved by Unicode.
