Weird stuff in iPad Analytics

Hi everyone!

So today I was scrolling through my privacy settings and I found the section on iPad analytics. When I went to check all of them, I found things that I didn't recognize. Some of them were called:

appstored

com.apple.MobileSoftwareUpdate.UpdateBrainService

Exc_Resource_com.apple.MobileSoftwareUpdate.UpdateBrainService

FileProvider

forceReset

gobios

gpuEvent-backboardd

gpuEvent-customstreetrace

iosstore

JetsamEvent

kbd

MobileSMS

netdisk_iPad

OTAUpdate

outbreak

periodic-io-microstackshot-report

periodic-microstackshot-report

ResetCounter

Are these normal? Does my iPad have a virus? Someone please help!

So even though I deleted the app 'Breakneck' (made by Pikpok) from my iPad, I keep getting crash reports in Analytics about an app called 'iosstore' made by Pikpok. Is this normal? Was there adware/virus in the app? Seeing as it was ranked very popular on the App Store, I don't think it should have a problem, but this is scary and doesn't make sense to me. Why is this happening?

You more then likely fine. To start iPads don't get virus, but adware/malware (so unless your doing stuff your not suppose too on the web 😉, then chances are slim of getting them). Also the data listed their is collected by Apple or Developers when anything causes you device to malfunction. Unless your the developer it'll look like random garbage.

You can read more here: Share analytics, diagnostics, and usage information with Apple - Apple Support.

I like already said nothing in these report well make sense too there for developers and they contain no personal data. If you don't want these reports then stop sharing them.

Yes a device that is not jail broken is 100% more secure the one that is.

Also read up on Phony "tech support" / "ransomware" popups and web pages because this is the most common issue phishing/adware popups. As for malware it super rare.

Adware or Malware on iOS devices happens usually by side loading profiles. Their not gotten by the App Store, but by downloading apps directly (like downloading an exe and running it). Usually happens through a VPN. Apple well try to stop you from running these, but if determined to run it you can bypass all the warnings Apple well pop-up at you.

As for what each one of these are:

  • Adware is a software that creates non-stop ads.
  • Malware is a software commonly runs in the background and is intended to damage or disable your device.
  • Spyware is a software commonly runs in the background that collects information to be used against a person.
  • Ransomware is software used to take hostage of a device (mostly the data of the device) for a demand like money.

The thing that makes me a little suspicous is that I already deleted the app made by Pikpok...

and yet I'm still getting crash reports from this thing called 'iosstore' from pikpok...

Why is this happening? And yes, I know about the fake tech support popup scams, I ran into one a month ago.

Edit: Nvm, the crash report was from 6 days ago, since then I have deleted the app. But that has been sitting in my Analytics list for a while. Since I deleted the app, is it impossible to send to developers? So it just sits there?

Removing the app won't remove pre-existing diagnostic reports. Like I already said if you're worried just turn off everything related to diagnostics.
