The reverse camera lens (or selfie camera) won't be damaged by the sun? But if I try to shoot it like a regular photo I was told I could damaged the front-on camera. Sorry to be such a Luddite about this. Just didn't do my homework until now... when I decided to shoot it tomorrow!

Sure. However, use the selfie camera and shoot it with your back to the sun so you don't damage your eyes.
