iPad is disabled and it says not charging when I try to connect it to iTunes am I doing something wrong? I need to restore it.

The 'not charging' isn't particularly relevant, a lot of computers (especially older ones) don't provide enough power to their ports to charge an iPad at a sufficient rate (it could still be charging slowly).


Does your computer's iTunes recognise the iPad ?
