How to stop active transfer to icloud

I am transferring 200 Go files from my mac to Icloud drive.

The transfer was initiated by moving a folder (with 200 Go data) from my mac to icloud so during the transfer the original folder is not showing anymore on the mac.

I want now to stop the current transfer as my internet connection speed is low.

If I press the "x" to cancel the transfer, does it mean the folder will reappear to its original location on my mac or there is risk that files are deleted both from mac and from icloud ?
