Do W1 chip headphones auto connect to iPad Air 2?
I have recently bought a set of Beats X headphones for use in the gym and I know that they contain a W1 chip which has the capability of auto pairing to my iPhone 7 Plus (iOS 10.3.3) and also connects to my Apple Watch Series 2 with no trouble.
However, when I am at home and wish to use these headphones with my iPad I hit a bit of a barrier. I have an iPad Air 2 running iOS 10.3.3. but the headphones do not auto connect to it. I have to follow a slightly more time consuming process through bluetooth settings.
Does anyone know if this is an know issue and if they have a workaround / fix for this. Or is it the case that my iPad is a little old and would need a slightly newer 2017 iPad or iPad Pro for this to work?
