Cracked screen Mac Book Pro! HELP!

The screen of my mac book cracked when i opened it a couple of moths ago and am just getting round to getting it repaired now.

How much roughly will it cost to get a mac book pro screen replaced and also has this happened to anyone else, literally i was holding the screen when was opening it up and it just cracked? surely it should break the easy?!

Furthermore, my nearest store is an apple authorised service provider rather than an actual apple store itself, does doing it through them usually more expensive?

This happened to me, too. $475 at the apple store, regardless of apple care, definitely not $99. This is my fourth macbook and I have never had any problems with the durability until now. I wanted to make some sort of complaint because this is ridiculous, but all I was told I could do was leave feedback. Very angry, seeming to be not the quality i'm used to.

If your MacBook Pro is still under an AppleCare+ warranty, the screen replacement is $99 (USD). If not covered, then you will need to take it to your local Apple Store to get an estimate.

This happen to my mbp aswell today when i cm back from office i opened my mbp i saw my screen is not working then i find put it has cracked its so annoying because we spend too much for this note book and screen is getting cracked itself
