Flight track status is not working for all airlines
Recently Apple shared an instructions on Twitter about how to track a flight on iOS. Apple Support on Twitter: "Want a faster way to look up flight details? Just tap an underlined flight number in Messages…
I followed their instructions to track a flight from Belgrade to Tel Aviv but failed to succeed. (Israir 766)
I've contacted Apple Support and didn't get any real answer on what the problem is. After serval checkups on the iOS version they sent me to talk with the airline.
Okay. This would mean that the airline may have restrictions on this particular feature. You will need to reach out to them for further assistance.
I did a little experiment and checked serval airlines companies' flights on the Notes app. You can see the results below, the ones who are working marked with underline:
I had mention to them that all of the flights have status on Google search, flight tracker websites such as FlightAware or FlightStats etc. They replied:
This appears to be specific to the airlines directly as you are able to gather info on certain flights. This would not be an issue with your device since you are able to look up certain airlines.
I do a little online research and found out that the issue maybe with Apple's data detectors.
So does Apple not supporting all airlines? Is there restricted availability of the feature? And where can I find the full list?
They haven't reply me since.
How can we fix it? If their another airline that you find it not working, write it below.
