My wife's iPhone 7 is 6-7 months old she has an apple protective battery pack only covers the back and sides and glass screen protector. The home button quit working yesterday. Verizon advised us to go to apple care. We did but found that Apple Does Not Cover the hairline cracks in the button or it not working under warranty!!! Good news is they were able to put a whole new face, that included the screen and home button in about 1 1/2 hours for $149.99. Then another $39.99 to replace the glass screen protector!
2 months old iPhone 7. No accident. One Hairline (almost invisible) crack across bottom of the home button. Button not working. Will apple fix this for free - and if not what's my bill likely to be?

Hi Ellie,
It would depend on what happened.
Here we won't be able to say what it would cost to fix etc.
Your best bet is to go, into the apple store and see someone about it.
I have this same issue after only 5 days! I have been SO careful with the phone, have not dropped it or caused any force to it that could have caused this. I am SO frusturated right now!
Take it back to Apple and show them the problem.
Best of luck,
