how do you disable chrome helper on El Capitan

Chrome Helper is using too much memory according to Activity Monitor. Consequently, I'm getting a measly 2 hours of play from a full charge instead of 10 or 12 hours.

MacBook Air, OS X El Capitan (10.11.2), MacBook Air (11-inch, mid-2011)

Hi! I was investigating this subject and found out that Chrome Helper are chrome's tabs and extensions. You can also check it out on chrome navigator on the menu on the upper right corner, More Tools/Task administrator (o Más Herramientas/Administrador de Tareas, en español, jeje!).

If it is "eating" up too much memory, you can try disabling/unstalling some extensions or closing up some tabs.

Hope you find this answer useful and sorry if my english is not very good.

Bye!!

Allow me to be the first to respond to my own post. Previously, I had read a response to a similar question suggesting in a nutshell: settings > content settings > plugins > click-to-play. This did not help, since I couldn't find "settings" or "content settings." Another helper suggested: chrome > preferences > settings > advanced > privacy > content settings > plugins > click-to-play. Again, I was unable to navigate this directive, as I could not find some of the key words listed. Thought this might help.
