Copy and paste problem in iPhone 7 plus

I have a problem with my new iphone 7 plus in copy and paste function. I select some text and touch the "COPY", then touch the "PASTE", but nothing will appear in that field. I should touch the "COPY" frequently for at least 5 times in order to pasting option work properly. It is very boring and tedious. Please help me solving this problem. Thanks
