HOW TO UPLOAD VIDEOS FROM NIKON COOLPIX B500 CAMERA TO MY MACBOOK AIR

Hello all,

I used to be able to connect my camera to my macbook using the usb cable provided. My pictures and videos would upload just fine. All of a sudden, i go to plug in my camera to upload more pics and videos and all of my videos are uploading as images?! I am extremely irritated by this as i am trying to finish my sister's graduation imovie. Now i cannot figure out why in the world my videos are not uploading as videos. Instead of uploading as a video it uploads as a still picture. I go and click on it and it only selects the picture, thats all. I am using Iphoto version 2.0. And macOS Sierra Version 10.12 if that helps with anything. I hope someone can help me with this as i have tried EVERYTHING. .
