I'm a Mac user, but am trying to help my daughter with iTunes on her Windows machine. So I'm a bit lost. When opening iTunes in Windows we're getting a message the the SPORDER.dll file is missing. Can anyone enlighten me about what this is and what I should do? (iTunes has been working fine on her machine; this is a new development).
many thanks

There is a fair bit about it on the Microsoft website, including this article about recovery after anti spyware has messed things up.

sporder.dll is usually used by MS windows when there are multiple ISPs set up on the machine. However, some anti-spyware programs incorrectly classify it as spyware and delete it.
It is also installed by Sygate Personal Firewall -- does she have that software? If so, reinstall it.
we recently had someone "fix" the computer by doing a thorough scan of it and removal of suspect files. they obviously didn't know what they were doing. I found the file on the web, downloaded it, and installed it - now problem fixed. BTW - we were also unable to connect to ISP with this machine (I did the downloading from my trusty Mac). Reinstalling the file solved that problem, too.
