Setting default capture frame-rate on i-sight

I am looking to record video clips using my i-sight camera to be mixed with professionally recorded external files which are recorded at 25 fps. Using QuickTime the default frame rate of the isight camera appears to be 24 fps and when recording via iMovie this is 30 fps. Neither of these are suitable for matching to my 25 fps clips. Is there any way in system settings/preferences where I can specify a 25 fps default capture rate?

VIN, iMac (27-inch Mid 2010), macOS Sierra (10.12)

There is no way I am aware of to change the iSight camera frame rate. It actually will vary based on available lighting. In iMovie the project frame rate is set by the first clip you add to the timeline. So add one of your external clips first and then the iSight clips.

Not the answer I had hoped for but useful nevertheless. Are you aware of any externally provided app that lets the user specify a capture frame rate? I could try use Final Cut Pro (7) to live capture but that would be a last resort.

Don't know of any APP to set a capture rate, but MPEG Streamclip and Handbrake will allow you to change the frame rate of a clip. So you could change the frame rate of the iSight file. I suspect that just putting one of your 25fps clips as the first clip in your timeline will give as good a result as changing the frame rate of the iSight files.
