Apple pop up - virus detected on my phone

Received from Apple a notification that a virus has been detected on my Apple iPhone 6s+ (iSO10.3.3) and suggested I use onavo protection to resolve. I uploaded the onavo protection app and started registering then thought I better check on this.

Sorry, but you have been scammed. Apple does not send notifications about viruses, and unless your iPhone has been jailbroken, it does not have a virus. That is an adware popup trying to get you to do exactly what you did.

You do not need any anti-virus protection on the phone. I suggest that you just delete the app, and if you paid for it in the app store, I would use the link https://reportaproblem.apple.com and ask for a refund.
