Double-click does not open Apple Pay

Just updated from an iPhone 6 to a 7. On iPhone 6, I could double-click the Home button on the locked screen and Apple Pay would come up. In iPhone 7 in the locked screen, I double-click on the Home button and the screen unlocks. In the unlock screen, I double-click and the open apps bar appears. In settings, I've turned on the "Double-click Home button to get card". How do I open Apple Pay on my iPhone 7? BTW - my Apple Watch still works fine by double-pressing the lower side button. Suggestions? Thanks!

Fixed it! For some reason my card was deleted from my iPhone 7 after I scanned it. My Apple Watch was showing the Apple Pay - so didn't think to check the iPhone. Then, when looking at the settings I realized it was gone (?) - so re-installed the card. Viola' - the d-click home button works!
