Apple Supply Chain to the Canadian Forces Exchange System (CANEX)

Is there a problem with the Apple product supply chain to the CANEX retail chain that services members of the Canadian Forces? I ordered one of the new 10.5" IPad Pros back in the first part of June and have yet to receive it. After making inquiries at other retail Apple re-sellers, there does not seem to be an issue with obtaining these units within a reasonable timeline. I would never openly accuse Apple of being prejudicial against the Canadian Military or its members but it does give one food for thought as to why so many other Apple re-sellers would perceivably be given priority for product delivery. Pushing 3 months is somewhat if not completely questionable.

Your situation may not be so unique where a third-party supplier may

have several locations to send inventory. The US base PX nearest here

had for many years older model & nearing obsolete electronic product

for sale at their original retail prices. Even previous iPod, iPad, etc that

were (to me, having looked to current specs & prices online) not very

kind to the service personnel stationed here in AK.

The captive audience and limited scope of on-base resale variety is

part of the immediate retail problem in that situation. And what they

do, is a matter of their private business concern. There should be a

regulatory over-sight of their business, w/ consumer complaint dept.

Across town, in official retail sales environments, such as wal mart or

other names, theirs were newer. And in a competitive marketplace

some other officially sanctioned Apple resellers or authorized service

providers with their own resale business, can be competitive.

In some cases, there are no choices and if you cannot order online,

theirs is the only show in town. Or in your region.

Thought to say your situation is not so unique, as indicated near JBER

a joint-base near Anchorage.

Good luck in this matter! 🙂

To assume for a minute that your inquiry was about retail or an online 'Apple Canada' experience

which may also cover some questions about 'independent authorized' Apple resellers and service

providers in the country. ~ Did you use information from this page to contact Apple Canada?

In any event...

Good luck & happy trails! 🙂
