Making phone calls from iPad Pro 10.5

Traveling to Europe. Have iPad Pro 10.5 cellular. Also have iPhone, but would rather use internal apple modem for short term access to cellular network, perhaps including ability to make phone calls.

You should be able to use pretty much any VOIP Service that is compatible with iOS. FaceTime works fine over wifi only but of course only works with other Apple device users. Skype is another option but you’ll pay to call a non-Skype user. Google voice and Hangouts as well but it costs for Europe to USA calls, but with for-fee google voice you can call anyone, anywhere via VOIP.

The only reason I mention it is cost. Depending on their iphone and plan fees, sometimes Google voice or even Skype can be a lot cheaper for the occasional overseas call. Google voice and hangouts offer some pretty cheap alternatives but for wifi only calling. Just depends entirely on how much overseas calling the OP intends to make, and the fees for whatever plan they have, or intend to use with the iPhone. And if they have something like Skype and only plan on calling other Skype users.

The cost/fee structure (options matrix?) can get complicated (but option rich) depending on what you have, and who you’re calling.
