iTunes or Computer?

I've had this problem for a while now, so I'm hoping that by posting it here it can get solved-- it's been driving me crazy! [I don't know if this is in the right discussion area, sorry if it isn't].

Lately whenver I plug my iPod nano into my computer, my computer totally freezes and I have to reboot, and no matter what I do the same thing happens over and over. I thought it was just the iPod so when I got an iPod video I plugged it in and to my dismay, the same thing happened!

I'm convinced that it's the computer since when I plugged in both iPods they worked in other computers, but what's the problem with my computer then? Everything else is working on it just fine.

Has anyone else ever had this problem? I'm suspicious it's a memory issue, but I just don't know.
