Change the owner of shared photo stream

I am in need of changing the owner of a shared photo stream. What if an owner dies or worse moves to android? I understand this can’t be done on the device, but is it possible to be done by calling Apple support?

No, it is not possible to change the owner of a shared album. Save the photos you want to keep to your Photos Library, so you don't depend on the owner of the shared album. Then recreate the shared album using your AppleID and then copy all photos from the original shared album to the new album.
