Garageband generating loads of cache!

I've been having this same problem with Ableton 9 recently as well. I'm not sure why this happens, but it hasn't happened before. Whenever I use Garageband for a prolonged period of time (lets say an hour), it generates about 30gb of temporary files in the directory MacOSX/private/var/vm. I also have a screenshot of from DaisyDisk to show you what the files are and how massive they are in comparison to the rest of my computer. User uploaded file

This is outrageos! And it is happening with other programs too! In fact, when I started typing this post I had 2gb left, but now I only have 2mb left! I will add my specs later, I have to restart my computer now.


Alright, I am back; and my disk storage is back at 33gb left! What gives? Anyway, here are my specs:
