MRT agent in macOS Sierra consumes a lot of RAM and CPU

I run an iMac of 2011 with macOS Sierra 10.12.6 and 8 GB of RAM

The hard drive of 1 To is full at 90%

Since lastest updates of macOS it is very slow

There is a process name "MRT" that consumes a lot of memory (sometimes more than the 8 GB)

I've seen in from this agent of macOS is a malware search tools

Is it possible to disable this agent/daemon so that is consumes no more the memory ?

iMac (21.5-inch Mid 2011), macOS Sierra (10.12.6)
