Jut purchased and awaiting delivery of my new iMac and wanted to know the maximum memory I can upgrade the RAM to? Conflicting information on the net between 32 and 64GB in different areas of the internet and wanted to ask the experts!

However, Mac's are very picky and it is best to purchase a module kit from a vendor like OWC that specializes in Mac RAM.
That just say's, that Apple only configures the 3.4GHZ model up to 32GB.

Adapter for RAM...? No, the iMac has 4 slots and the 64GB kit is 4 16GB modules. Or you can also buy the 2x16GB 32GB kit, add that to the existing 8GB and have 40GB.
This model does not work properly with 64gb ram.it is spec’d At 32gb ram.
