Mac doesnt boot up without using SMC bypass

My MacBook Pro 13" with Retina Display won't boot up at all- the power button doesn't do anything. I can plug in the charger and it shows the lights, and it even changes colors briefly when I attempt to do an SMC Reset, but it won't turn on.

The only way to make it turn on is via the SMC Bypass, but this is hardly a desired result as the computer grows incredibly slow.

This issue happened with me two nights ago, but my computer had run dead overnight and it was able to work like normal the following morning, no need for SMC Bypass. This morning, though, it won't turn on once again. I'm not sure what the issue is, as the computer worked fine and essentially worked fine with SMC Bypass, but I'm not sure what's causing the issue, what the issue is exactly, and how I could go about fixing the issue.

Hi! An smc bypass is a different form of booting up the computer where, as it's called, you bypass the SMC. As a result though, the laptop can't run without the battery charger plugged in, and it runs much slower with its fans on blast, no battery display, and no keyboard blacklight (because all of these run via the SMC, and you're running the computer without the SMC).

Oh, sorry! I must have been mistaken. What I meant by SMC Bypass though is that when the computer is off, I hold down the power button for 10 seconds and then keep holding it for 10 more seconds but whilst plugging in the charger. You could try it with your MacBook to get your own experience of what I'm talking about! It won't do anything harmful.

Anyways, though, without doing that procedure I mentioned just now, my Mac simply won't turn on. It's quite the frustrating thing for me, as there's little indication to what the issue is. I know the display is working, because it can run properly with 'smc Bypass," but I'm not sure what else the issue could be.
