Hi all. I can't use my iPhone 6 as a personal hotspot since updating to iOS10.3.3. Had been working fine before and I can access and toggle the personal hotspot feature fine.
When I try to connect using my laptop as normal this happens:
iPhone 6, iOS 10.3.3
Have you checked for a carrier settings update?
Update your carrier settings on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support
Hotspots are a carrier feature and it's possible the update requires an update form the carrier as well.
Have you also contacted your carrier in the event this is something they must resolve for you?
Yes, tried that and a hard reset. It does it when trying to connect of two laptops too. The blue bar that indicates a successful hotspot connection flickers in and out constantly and then the connection fails as shown in the video
Hi. Yes there's no option to update so I assume it's up to date.
However, I CAN tether via USB from my laptop. That works fine so I doubt there's a problem with my carrier. It's only when I try to tether via WiFi that my iPhone goes haywire like in the above video.
Do you even read posts?
The screen goes completely haywire when I try to connect. I've seen others with the issue too. This isn't a simple setting up problem. It's clearly a bug
