icloud drive windows 10 folder empty

I've just installed iCloud drive for Windows 10 but the folder is completely empty. I've tried signing out and signing back in, deleting and reinstalling but I'm not getting anywhere.

there seems to be a problem in the software which Apple don;t know how to fix - look at all the posts the past 14 days about this problem, and you will notice, not a single person complaining about it, managed to get it to work, and not a single response from Apple - accept the housewifes guide they post on how ti install the iCloud software everytime someone complains about this problem.

I really think of moving all my iCloud data to mega.nz - If Apple themselves don't know how to get your data out of iCloud, how secure will this be anyway ?
